Recently, some literary arts students won awards for their contest submissions.

Senior literary and RISE Fashion Editor, Stephyne Weathersby

Weathersby received third place in the William Faulkner student short story contest.

Senior Literary and RISE Editor-in-Chief, Callie Matthews

Callie Matthews received second place in the William Faulkner student short story contest. Matthews was also one of the five winners for the Eudora Welty Ephemera Prize.

Junior literary, Lauren Stamps

Lauren Stamps was one of the five winners of the Eudora Welty Ephemera Prize.

Choir Positions Announced

Our vocal department has some new leaders in their choir class. These positions are either passed down from a former senior to a current senior or are voted upon by the choir.

Gardening Club Makes a Comeback

Gardening club leaders, McLain Boyd and Maple Hays, with sponsor, Vickie Foster, had their first gardening club meeting on Tuesday. They have begun to cultivate the soil and are ready to plant some things!
