Stephanie Hartmann

Head of Communications & Editor of “Up In Steph’s Room”

Cooper Brumfield is a 17-year-old writer from Natchez Mississippi. He is a senior literary at the Mississippi School of the Arts. He is a statewide winner of the patriot’s penmanship award, a scholastic triple gold key award winning writer, as well as a winner of the William Faulkner literary award, and an honorable mention winner of the Epherma Prize. While he specializes in playwriting and poetry, he is also a published author, journalist, and memoirist, with over two dozen pieces published across the county, state, and nation. And throughout his time as a writer, he hopes to create an environment safe for artists to create the way he wants to be able to.

Eli Holt

Editor-in-Chief of Media Affairs

Eli Holt is a senior media at MSA and an aspiring filmmaker and cinematographer from Columbus, Mississippi. He is passionate about film and alternative music, as well as photography. After high school, Eli intends on going to film school and pursuing screenwriting and filmmaking professionally.

Jude Ryan

Jude Ryan is a senior literary with a passion for writing dirty realism, surrealist fiction, and slam poetry. Hailing from Biloxi, Mississippi, they enjoy reading, crocheting, listening to music, and playing bass guitar. They plan on pursuing either Creative Writing or Forensic Psychology and teaching either subject at the college level.

J.T. is a senior literary from Long Beach. He likes to write poems and horror fiction. His big goal is to get some type of career in writing due to it being his passion. You can always find him hanging out with friends or talking to the people around him. He is looking forward to the year he has ahead and is ready to do great things.

Lela Reed is a student at Mississippi School of the Arts. She enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her loved ones. Lela has a history with the dance arts but is focusing on the art of literature.

Richie Stover

Staff Writer

Richie Stover is a senior literary at the Mississippi School of the Arts. He enjoys reading and writing more than just about anything else in the world. While he prefers the more macabre genres of horror, thriller, and drama, he still makes an effort to branch out into other works as well. He loves video games, especially those that have a deep story twisted within the gameplay. He aspires to not only write and publish his own work, but also to help other authors get their stories out there so that their work can be appreciated just the same.

Robin is a Junior Literary from Pearl, MS. Her hobbies include writing, drawing, reading, and she is learning guitar. She enjoys hanging out with friends, sunsets, music, and autumn. She is looking forward to all the opportunities and new things this year will bring.

Lydia is a junior literary from Raymond, Mississippi. She loves reading, writing, traveling the world, iced coffee, music and playing the flute in the band. She also likes spending time with friends and family. In her free time, she enjoys her youth group and doing volunteer work.

Nick Scott is a Junior Literary student at the Mississippi School of Arts. Most of his time is spent developing stories through writing or drawing. He enjoys spending time with family and cooking for the ones he loves when the opportunity arises. His main goal in art is to give someone a quick laugh, even if that someone is him.

Emmalyn French is a junior theatre at Mississippi School of the Arts, and she is from Lucedale, Mississippi. Emmalyn enjoys painting, music, movies, and reading. She loves to travel on mission trips, helping others is something she strives to do. One day, Emmalyn hopes to receive her doctorate in forensic psychology.

Jack Rosamond is a senior vocal at the Mississippi School of the Arts. He is a singer, actor, and dancer from Ridgeland, Mississippi. Rosamond is thrilled to be back with Rise with his article, The Zone with Jack Rosamond. When not on stage, you can find him enjoying music, watching Tennessee Titans football, and being with friends and family.
